The Armenian Museum will feature the following major programs:
- History of the Armenian People
- Rotating Exhibits of Armenian Art
- Permanent Exhibits, featuring Artifacts, Textiles, and Fine Art
- Educational Programs, featuring a Library, Research Center, and a
Children's Gallery
- Biennial Festival of a notable Armenian or Armenian-American
Artist/Musician/Writer
- Presentations of Lectures, Performances, Music, and Movies
The Armenian Museum plans to:
- Serve as a West Coast repository and information center featuring
the art, culture, and history of the Armenian people.
- Serve as a valuable resource for the community at large. The
Museum will provide cultural and historical information to future generations of Armenian-Americans.
- Provide an awareness and appreciation of the Armenian culture and
contributions of the Armenian people through planned exhibits and diverse educational programs.
- Maintain an active program for the collection, conservation, and
documentation of Armenian artifacts, textiles, archival information, and works of art.
- Provide a forum for the visual and performing arts, to include music,
literature, and fine arts of the Armenian people.
- Develop a cooperative partnership with universities and museums
throughout the United States as well as with the country of Armenia. The partnerships will include student internship programs, artists-in-residence programs, research opportunities, lectures and discussion groups.
- Feature the history and contribution of the Armenian people of the
Central Valley.
